Rescuers will not cut the locks of closed storerooms of the capital, this is not within the competence of the State Emergency Service, — Yevhenii Yenin
Today, on the air of the national tele-marathon, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin said that the rescuers of the State Emergency Service have no legal grounds for cutting locks on closed shelters. He clarified that in the message of the Kiev administration, which was recently made public, it was about the authority for such actions of rescuers of the capital's municipal rescue service.
“In accordance with the Civil Protection Code, the responsibility for the proper operation of the shelter facilities is borne by local administrations. And in this case, it is worth clarifying that we were talking about the rescuers of the Kyiv Rescue Service, who probably have a worked out algorithm for such actions,” Yevgeny Yenin said.
The First Deputy Minister stressed that the employees of the units of the State Emergency Service do not have legal grounds for such actions, and therefore they will definitely not be engaged in this. He also stressed that citizens, for their part, have the right and should report closed shelters that are considered to be in operation.
Recall: earlier, the media with reference to the Kyiv City State Administration reported that rescuers will cut the locks from the shelters if the balance holders do not open them during the air alarm.
For reference: “Kyiv Rescue Service” is a municipal emergency and rescue service designed to prevent the occurrence of emergency situations, minimize their consequences and protect the population and territory of the city of Kyiv.
