Ruslan Stefanchuk: We have to form our pantheon of heroes, one of them was Denis Monastyrsky
Within the framework of the exhibition “Heroes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs”, which takes place in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the leadership of the parliament, as well as the elected representatives paid tribute to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky, his first deputy Yevgeny Yenin, the state secretary Yuriy Lubkovych, as well as other dead during the performance of official duties on January 18 to employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Denis Monastyrsky, from the beginning of the full-scale invasion, stressed that the memory of our heroes should remain, because every day of the war takes their lives. At the same time, events develop so rapidly that over time the memory of what happened a day, a week, a month ago is lost. Therefore, the team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs created the project “Heroes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs”, where you can get acquainted with the stories of policemen, rescuers, border guards, national guards, etc. This project was comprehensively assisted and actively patronized by both Yevgeny Yenin and Yuriy Lubkovych.
“We have to form our pantheon of heroes, people who give what is most valuable to make the country live, so that we can win. It so happened that one of these heroes was my personal very good friend Denis Monastyrsky, who opened this exhibition here at the end of last year. He lived by the fact that war is first and foremost the names of people who are heroes and must be remembered by everyone. And today he joined this legion of heroes,” said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk.
People's deputies, former colleagues of Denis Monastyrsky, did not stand aside, noting that this is a tragedy, both for the country and for colleagues, friends, those who personally knew these persons.
“I personally remember Denis Monastyrsky from the time when we were experts in the team of presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky. At first glance, I realized that he was a very decent, very bright and intelligent person. Such people, unfortunately, are quite rare to meet in life. He proved his high level of professionalism in every position where he worked, he was a huge patriot and a great reformer,” said MP of Ukraine Oleksandr Merezhko.
Recall that on December 12, 2022, the photo exhibition “Heroes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs” was opened in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The idea of the photo exhibition was born in the early days of the Russian-Ukrainian war, when the mass heroism of the defenders finally broke the enemy's plans to capture Ukraine in “two or three” days. In the exposition there are 20 portraits of Ukrainian defenders and defenders with stories about their brave deeds. QR code helps everyone to see directly the stories of policemen, national guards, rescuers, border guards.
