In early February this year in Kharkiv region he was captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Currently, the defendant gives evidence on war crimes committed by military units of the Russian army.

On the basis of the collected evidence, the Russian occupier was declared a suspect under Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 2 of Art. 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war, combined, combined with premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

For committing a war crime, he faces up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
