Shot by Russia: border guard Vadim Dysavenko joined the army to take revenge for Ukraine, but died in Donetsk region in battle
On the Day of Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine, we bow low and thank everyone who fights for the freedom of our state with weapons in their hands. It is with sadness in our hearts that we remember all the fallen who fought and did everything every day to defeat the invasion of the Russian invaders as soon as possible.
Among those who immediately from the beginning of the full-scale war, defended their city, their family and the country was Vadim Dysavenko. The man lived in the Kiev region, and as soon as the first explosions from Russian missiles were heard on February 24, 2022, he could not just sit at home.
As his relatives recall, Vadim immediately enrolled in the teroboron, and later joined the ranks of the border guards. The man managed to visit rotations in Sumy region and Donetsk region, where the ground under his feet constantly shook, and shells flew overhead. Despite this, Vadim always told his relatives that he was doing well.
This calmed the family, who were waiting for a defender at home, but the mother's heart signaled trouble. On January 4, 2023, she texted her son with a request to respond, because Vadim disappeared for several days. As it turned out later, then he was daily in fierce battles for his native land. The army of the Russian occupiers only intensified the shelling of positions. Vadim never read the message from his mother.
Vadim Disavenko died on January 4 from an enemy shell that flew near him. The medic could not reach the man for about 40 minutes, due to the strong intensity of the shelling. The defender of Ukraine was buried in his native village in the Kyiv region. Now his niece dreams of graduating from the military military complex, returning to the front for her uncle and taking revenge on the Russian invaders.
Vadym Disavenka was posthumously awarded the Order for Courage III degree.
