Flour and grain were stolen for UAH 4 million: officials of the State Bread Products Plant were informed of suspicion
The operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police, together with law enforcement colleagues, exposed the illegal activities of officials.
The pre-trial investigation established that the officials of one of the bread processing plants committed the waste of flour, grain waste and bran from the territory of the plant and the warehouse area of the enterprise. The total cost of the damage caused reaches four million hryvnias.
Based on the evidence received, the investigators of the Bureau of Economic Security reported the suspicion to the head of the state-owned enterprise and the head of the structural unit of the State Enterprise. Their actions are qualified according to Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
For the appropriation, squandering of property or possession of it by abuse of official position, imprisonment for a period of seven to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with confiscation of property is provided. Procedural guidance in criminal failure is carried out by the Office of the Attorney General.
