The Russian occupation army continues shelling the borders of Sumy and Chernihiv regions
Yesterday, the enemy launched missile strikes from the aircraft and carried out fire damage with the use of barrel artillery, RSHVs, mortars and small arms. To conduct reconnaissance of the territory of Ukraine, the enemy used reconnaissance aircraft and UAVs.
Under enemy fire were Velykopisarovskaya, Krasnopolskaya, Khotinsk, Bilopil, Shalyginskaya, Novoslobodsk, Esmansk and Seredyno-Budska hromada of Sumy region and Snovsk hromada of Chernihiv region.
A missile strike with 4 missiles brought an enemy aircraft into the territory of the Esman community in the morning of July 16. Later, for two hours, the enemy attacked the outskirts of the settlement of the same community with RSVs and barrel artillery. More than 40 explosions were recorded. Damaged civil infrastructure and residential buildings.
In the first half of the day, several settlements of the Bilopil community were under artillery fire. In total, in two cases, almost one and a half dozen shells flew.
Later, the enemy in two cases fired 120 mm mortars on the territory of the Belopil and Velikopysarivska communities — 6 and 4 parishes respectively, and 10 parishes with 82 mm mortars on the territory of the Krasnopil community.
14 RSVV shells exploded on the territory of the Novoslobodsk community.
During the day, Russia shelled the Shalygin community three times with the use of SAU, grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns.
In the direction of the Central Buda community, the enemy fired twice, used 120 mm mortars, large-caliber machine guns and AGS.
Towards evening, the invaders opened fire with small arms on the territory of the Khotinsky community.
The enemy shelled the Snovsk community in Chernihiv region with barrel artillery, 12 explosions were recorded.
In addition, on the territory of the Belopil and Velikopysarovsk communities, the enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance with the use of reconnaissance aircraft.
In all directions, the enemy actively uses UAVs and means of electronic warfare.
