Anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy: the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs honored the memory of the victims of the disaster
Today, April 26, on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, a ceremony of laying flowers was held on the territory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the territory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in honor of the employees and veterans of the internal affairs bodies - the liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl NPP.
The flower laying event was attended by the leadership and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, including Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs — Kateryna Pavlichenko, Bohdan Drapyaty and Vasyl Teteria, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Inna Yashchuk and Head of NGO “Association of Veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine”, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, General of the Internal Service of Ukraine Vasyl Durdinets.
“With their heroic work, the liquidators of Chernobyl deserved a decent life, constant care of the state, all bodies of state power and local self-government, the whole public so that their life and health would be reliably protected, and not become destitute,” said the Chairman of the NGO “Association of Veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ukraine”, advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, General of the Internal Service of Ukraine Vasyl Durdinets.
Every year on April 26, the whole world remembers the greatest man-made tragedy of mankind — the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. It shook the world 38 years ago. April 26 is the day of remembrance of those killed as a result of the disaster. Also on this day, the heroism of station workers, liquidators, firefighters, medics and everyone involved in taming the consequences of the accident is celebrated.
