Anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy
On the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, on April 26, a ceremony of laying flowers was held on the territory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs near the Memorial in honor of employees and veterans of the internal affairs bodies - liquidators of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl NPP.
The event was attended by the leadership and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in particular the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Inna Yashchuk and the Chairman of the Ukrainian Association “Chernobyl” of bodies and troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vasyl Durdinets.
Every year on April 26, the whole world remembers the greatest man-made tragedy of mankind, which happened 37 years ago — the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This day is a day of memory of the disaster itself and those killed in it, as well as the heroism of the station workers, liquidators, firefighters, medics and all people involved in the elimination of the consequences of the accident.
