Anniversary of the tragedy in Brovary: Interior Minister Igor Klymenko honored the memory of those killed in the plane crash

Exactly one year ago in Brovary there was an airstrike that killed the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, employees of the department, crew members and four civilians.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko, together with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, the heads of the central executive bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, relatives and acquaintances of the dead honored the memory of all victims of the airstrike.

A flower-laying ceremony took place at the Baikove cemetery, where the leadership and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are buried. Subsequently, in St. Sophia Cathedral, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphany, held a memorial funeral for the dead.

The tragedy occurred on January 18, 2023 in Brovary, Kyiv region. On board the helicopter were the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky, his first deputy Yevhenii Yenin, the State Secretary of the Ministry Yuriy Lubkovych, the deputy head of the patronage service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Tetiana Shutyak, the senior operating officer of the Department of Internal Security of the National Police Andriy Marynchenko, Chief Inspector of the Department of Communications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mykola Anatskyi, Head of the Department of Protection of the Department of Internal Security Mykhailo Pavlushko of the National Police of Ukraine, three crew members - Alexander Vasilenko, Konstantin Kovalenko, Ivan Kasyanov. Four civilians were also killed - Elena and Milana Ponomarenko, Marina Granovska and Tatiana Boichenko.
