Families of the dead guards were presented with state awards

In the memorial square of Ivano-Frankivsk, the commander of the military unit of the National Guard of Ukraine together with the city leadership presented state awards to the relatives of the guards who died in battle with the Russian occupiers.

By the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 368 of 24.05.2022, Sergeant Reus Roman was awarded the Order “For Courage” of III degree (posthumously) for personal courage and selfless actions in defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, the Order “For Courage” III degree (posthumously). The award was received by his wife Galina.

By the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 202 dated 02.04.2022, for personal courage and selfless actions in defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath with the Order “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously) was awarded to soldier Yevhen Cherkez. Mother Olga received the award.

By the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 312 of 05.05.2022, for personal courage and selfless actions in defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath with the Order “For Courage” of the Second Degree (posthumously) was awarded to Senior Sergeant Kushnis Alena. Father Nikolai received the award.

After the awards were presented, a memorial service was held for the fallen warriors.

Kushnir Alyona and Cherkez Yevhen died while performing a combat mission to defend the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region, suffering injuries incompatible with life. Reus Roman died while performing a combat mission to deter the enemy in the direction of the settlement of Maryinka in the Donetsk region, suffering fatal wounds on the battlefield.
