The Minister noted that the restoration of normal life and the resolution of security issues in the liberated territories will be a priority task for the authorities and law enforcement agencies of the region. The priority is the rapid return of the functions of the communal economy, strong humanitarian support, clear work of the law enforcement system.
“Today, concrete steps in this direction have already been determined, we have carefully planned measures to ensure law and order in the de-occupied territories. The main condition under which life will return to these settlements is the safety of people. Therefore, the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which perform military combat tasks in Kharkiv region, must ensure the demining of objects, create a safe space for the population and the work of communal services,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
He also stressed that the bulk of the law enforcement officers left the occupied territories and continued to serve in the National Police. To organize work in the territories liberated from the enemy, there is a clear strategy of actions aimed at the fastest possible restoration of the activities of the law enforcement system.
Also, as part of a working visit to Kharkiv region, Denis Monastyrsky awarded state awards to employees of units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, who showed courage during the performance of official duties, protecting citizens from Russian invaders.
“It is thanks to you that today we are in peaceful and unbreakable Kharkiv. A city that has acted and continues to resist an insidious enemy. The Russians have already felt the strength of the Ukrainian defenders. Kharkiv will go down in history as a city of the unconquered, and it is so thanks to national guards, border guards, policemen, rescuers, military armed forces — all who stood together, side by side in defense of their native land. On behalf of the President, the Government, myself, I want to thank our heroes for their daily conscientious service in the name of the Ukrainian people. There are many trials ahead, but we have to do it. Together to Victory! Glory to Ukraine!”, - said Denis Monastyrsky.
