Work in the de-occupied territories and tactical medicine: Josep Borrel and Igor Klymenko attended training of policemen and guards

With the assistance of the Consultative Mission of the European Union in Ukraine, instructors from the National Guard and the National Police are trained to prepare for work in the de-occupied territories.
Within a few weeks, foreign instructors will share their experience with Ukrainian police and national guards. Among the main areas of the exercises are ensuring public order, detecting saboteurs, demining the territory, recording war crimes.
“The training of trainers by our colleagues from the gendarmerie and police of partner countries is extremely important. First of all, it is the exchange of information and training of specialists for the implementation of tasks in the de-occupied territories,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted.
Igor Klimenko and Josep Borrel attended each of the training phases. According to legend, the fighters first carried out assault operations, detained the saboteurs and released the hostages. After —carried out demining of the territory and recorded a war crime.
“We saw how the participants of the training coped with the task and the different types of dangers. I hope that the representatives of the National Police and the National Guard who undergo training here will be able to apply these skills in the future to train as many Ukrainian specialists as possible,” said Josep Borrel.
Upon completion of the training, 162 Ukrainian instructors will share their experience with thousands of their colleagues — police officers and national guards who will work in the de-occupied territories.
“The European Union will continue to support Ukraine, because after the liberation of the territories specialists have to work in extremely difficult conditions to restore the rule of law, support the population and the work of state bodies,” said the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
