The relatives of the defender of Mariupol Sergeant Artem Bondarev were awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree
The fighter of a separate special detachment “Azov” was a heroic defender of Mariupol. For almost three months, Sergeant Artem Bondaryev and his comrades bravely fought with the enemy for every centimeter of Ukrainian land. The life of the fighter was taken by multiple bullet wounds received during the repulse of the enemy's next offensive actions.
“Your son is a true hero of Ukraine. Courageous and experienced warrior who, together with his brethren, heroically held the Mariupol garrison. The feat of your son, the feat of his brothers is a true example of heroism in modern Ukrainian history. We thank you and promise to take revenge for his struggle,” Colonel Serhiy Khovailo said.
