Rescuers urge hikers to follow safety rules in the mountains
The weekend is ahead, which means that many people will want to spend their leisure time in the mountains. However, the SNS once again emphasizes that it is necessary to prepare for the trip and observe the appropriate safety rules.
So, last night on Mount Hoverla while driving on the green route, a resident of Lviv region was injured.
On August 10, at 19:15 the Rescue Service was called by a man born in 1989 and reported that he had injured his leg while descending Mount Hoverla and needed the help of rescuers.
Rescuers from the search and rescue department of Vorokhta village and Zaroslyak post were sent to carry out search and rescue work.
Rescuers, having arrived at the victim, provided first aid and transported to the Zaroslyak base, where they were transferred to emergency medical workers.
In turn, the State Emergency Service emphasizes that in order for the rest to bring only positive emotions, it is necessary to properly prepare for the trip.
It is better to go hiking in a group. Go with those who know the route well. In addition, it is worth telling relatives or acquaintances about the upcoming trip, so that they know the estimated time of your return.
It is also worth registering the trip with rescuers and adding a route in the application “Rescue in the mountains”.
Take care of the necessary supply of food, water and equipment.
