Rescuers urge not to neglect fire safety rules
It is extremely important to observe fire safety rules and take care of the proper fire condition of your own homes.
Neglect of safety rules leads to the fact that fires occur very often in residential buildings. And usually, the culprits of most of them are the inhabitants themselves.
So, last day in one of the residential buildings in Odessa there was a fire.
As a result of the fire, 5 people were injured, two of whom, a father born in 1972 and a daughter born in 2019, were hospitalized in serious condition to a medical institution.
Also, three girls born in 2013, 2017 and 2008 were taken to the hospital by relatives. Their state of health is of moderate severity.
The probable cause of the fire is the emergency mode of operation of the battery charger. At the scene of the incident with the relatives of the victims, the psychologists of the State Emergency Service worked. The emergency services involved 5 units of fire equipment and 19 rescuers.
Another incident happened in the capital. There, in the Holosiivskyi district, an apartment in a 10-storey rear building caught fire. In a heavily smoky apartment, rescuers found two people and handed them over to medics.
Unfortunately, there is an injured man with signs of poisoning by combustion products, and a woman who died.
At the scene there were 4 units of main and special fire and rescue equipment, as well as 15 personnel.
The causes of the fire are established by law enforcement officers.
Rescuers emphasize that in order to prevent fires in everyday life, it is necessary to follow simple fire safety rules:
- do not smoke in bed;
- monitor the condition and serviceability of the power grid;
- in case of leaving the premises, do not leave televisions, irons, heaters, etc. on;
- do not leave children unattended and do not allow them to play with matches, lighters and other dangerous household items;
- try to avoid overloading electrical networks, do not turn on household power consumers of high power at the same time;
- take care of the protection of the home when using furnace and gas heating;
- not to use low-quality, homemade and uncertified household electrical appliances;
- do not leave heaters unattended and do not use homemade heating devices.
