Rescuers found three tourists on Hoverla: how not to get lost in the mountains
Rescuers found three tourists from Khmelnytskyi region in the mountains. The night before, emergency responders found a man who got lost moving along the blue route from Mount Hoverla. He was accompanied to the training and sports base “Zaroslyak”.
At the same time, the rescue service received a message that two tourists were lost on Mount Hoverla in the Rakhiv region. The couple climbed to the top from NSB “Zaroslyak”, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Due to rain and hail, tourists lost their landmark and went down to the Transcarpathian side of the mountain. Then they tried hard to get to the right route and finally got lost.
The specialists of the mountain search and rescue mission of the village went to the place. Lazeshchyna. Due to the fact that the couple dropped their own coordinates, the rescuers quickly found them and lowered them to the foot of the Goverla. Then tourists were transported to the village. Lazeshchyna, from where they had the opportunity to return to their base.
Rescuers once again remind citizens - before going to the mountains or to the forest, you need to study the map of the area, or it is better to go with someone who knows the area well.
It is also important to take care of the full charge of the mobile phone. Do not wear inconspicuous gray-green or black clothes, give preference to bright colors, so it is easier to notice a stray during the search. It's great if there are stripes on the clothes that reflect light.
