In the ranks of the State Emergency Service, Chief Master Sergeant of the Civil Protection Service Ivan Kozlovsky has been serving since 2012. He worked as a firefighter-rescuer for 10 years, and a year ago he decided to become a sapper. He has undergone the necessary training and now participates in humanitarian mining in the de-occupied territories.

“Among the gray, destroyed cities, the greatest light is the people who constantly thank the sappers for their work, support and care,” says Ivan Kozlovsky, senior sapper of the pyrotechnic works department of the pyrotechnic works and humanitarian demining department.

The man notes that the sappers are doing everything to cleanse the Ukrainian land of explosive “gifts”. For Ivan, it is currently the fourth rotation. Together with colleagues, he was already in Kharkiv, Nikolaev area and returned to Kherson region in the second.

“Previously, we helped energy workers, but now we are inspecting houses, adjacent areas, fields. This is so that people can return home after the Victory and they will be safe on the Ukrainian, free land,” says the sapper.
