The state has enough resources to overcome emergencies, — Serhiy Kruk
The head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine assured on the air of the UAtogether tele-marathon, commenting on the measures to eliminate the consequences of massive shelling of the territory of Ukraine by the Russian troops.
As Serhiy Kruk noted, as of 10.00, after enemy attacks, approximately 290 settlements in Sumy, Poltava region and Kyiv region were cut off from power supply. However, work on the inclusion of life support systems continues actively.
“Over the past day, more than 20 generators were used, which we provided to everyone who contacted us. And we used an extraordinary resource in helping our energy companies to quickly launch life support systems throughout Ukraine. But I assure you that there are enough resources in the state and the State Emergency Service,” Serhiy Kruk emphasized.
To respond to a large number of fires, shelling and elimination of emergency situations, all components of the emergency services system were involved - psychologists, pyrotechnics, emergency and rescue units and special response units. In addition, pyrotechnics are constantly working on the territory of Zaporizhzhya and Kharkiv regions and especially in the de-occupied territories, there are equipped assistance and heating points.
“We, the rescuers, never thought that in addition to the protective clothing in which we work and eliminate the effects of bad weather and emergency situations, we would have to wear body armor, protective helmets, etc. Yesterday we worked together with all rescue and utility services. We are constantly building forces to help and deter aggression. This is how our system interacts,” Serhiy Kruk summed up.
