At the end of 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the project “PLANS. ACTIONS. RESULTS”, in which he talks about the challenges, achievements and reforms that were carried out during the year. Some of them are already mentioned on the page “Full Scale War”, but other large-scale successes will be discussed in this article.
On November 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the procedure by which Ukrainians can pass a theoretical exam for obtaining a driver's license without compulsory training in a driving school.
Future drivers will have a choice: to study the rules of the road in a driving school or to master the theory on their own. To pass the theoretical exam, you need to contact any convenient service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Subsequently, such a service will be available through ASAP.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched 7 driving schools for persons with disabilities on the basis of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system. For almost half a year of operation, 22 people with disabilities received a “B” driver's license, and a total of 83 people started training.
“We are not stopping. And as part of the project, a pilot training of drivers of category C1 vehicles was launched. We plan to expand the network of our driving schools, because we are creating not just a safe country, but a state with affordable and comfortable services for all people,” said Igor Klymenko
The State Migration Service continues to implement a project to quickly provide Ukrainian citizens with passport documents abroad.
For almost a year and a half from the start of the project, employees of SE “Dokument” issued about 600 thousand passport documents. Of these - more than 150 thousand ID cards and more than 420 thousand foreign passports. More than 100,000 Ukrainians who are forced to stay in EU countries have used the service of simultaneous registration of ID-card and international passport. Ukrainian citizens have the opportunity to issue passport documents abroad in Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Germany, Spain and Italy.
The driver's license delivery service is already available in 17 European countries. For almost 3 months since the introduction of the service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs received about 3 thousand applications for the production of driver's documents. The most demanded in Poland Orders can be made in a few clicks. International delivery takes about 15 days.
This service was launched by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on December 20 in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Minimum bureaucracy, reduction of corruption risks. Checking cars and users is carried out automatically. Fast and convenient. Contracts of sale are concluded directly in the smartphone. The service is available for re-registration of cars, motorcycles and mopeds.
The project to educate children in mobile safety classrooms was introduced in October 2023. These are specially equipped vehicles where police and rescuers talk about the rules of conduct in conditions of war. 15 mobile security classes that work primarily in those areas and communities where, due to the threat of shelling, students cannot fully study in schools. Almost 25 thousand children have already attended classes in such mobile safety classes. 10 thousand of them have been trained during December last year.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to open educational institutions for children of injured or killed workers and military. They will be for children who have lost one of their parents. Children who study there will receive assistance, support and preparation for admission to higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Support, assistance and recovery of the soldiers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is a priority. One of the directions is the rehabilitation of fighters who lost their eyesight while performing tasks on the front line. For almost a month, fighters in the rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs undergo an adaptation course - they learn to navigate in space, cook, use household appliances. They also master special mobile applications in order to fully use gadgets.
In 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs continued to work on the development of integrated video surveillance platforms. Currently, more than 8 thousand video cameras are integrated into a single platform. Of course, wherever possible in wartime conditions. The plan is to add all the more than 50,000 currently installed. Including more than 7,000 intellectuals. Building a safe public environment is one of the priority areas of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. And the development of a comprehensive video surveillance system is key in this process.
