Rehabilitation of the wounded: the Ministry of Internal Affairs signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with “MEHAD”
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Representation of “MEHAD” in Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. “MEHAD” is a French organization that works in the field of health care.
The signing of the document was attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk and the coordinator of the project on rehabilitation of the MECHAD Mission in Ukraine Natalia Sobko.
“The philosophy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has the main goal - the value of human life, the preservation and support of our citizens. Therefore, cooperation with public organizations and medical institutions that aim to develop rehabilitation remains extremely important. Today we open a new page of our story. Now the history of help and support is picked up by the organization “MEHAD”. Our doctors, physiotherapists, rehabilitologists also have a wealth of experience. Therefore, I am sure that the union of specialists from different countries will give an even greater result,” said Inna Yashchuk.
In turn, Natalia Sobko stressed that there are many specialists in the “MEHAD” who had such experience with the wounded in other countries of the world where military conflicts took place
“Rehabilitation is a project that must be long and permanent, because complete recovery requires a lot of time and effort of specialists. Such cooperation is very important. We are very happy today to continue cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and develop our project,” stressed the coordinator of the project on rehabilitation of the MEHAD Mission in Ukraine.
By signing the Memorandum, the parties witnessed the following areas of cooperation:
- implementation of the project on a comprehensive system of medical support and rehabilitation of patients;
- participation in joint scientific and communication activities with the involvement of employees of health institutions;
- increasing the level of professional competence of specialists in the field of military medicine;
- advising medical professionals on medical rehabilitation.
