Together with his brothers he saved people from under the rubble: the story of Kryvyi Rih district police officer Konstantin Rastemyashin
In 2022, a 32-year-old senior district police officer of the police department No. 5 of the Kryvyi Rih RUP was sent to perform official duties in the city of Bakhmut.
For almost half a year, the policeman was on duty at a checkpoint on the outskirts of the city, a few kilometers from the front line. Under enemy fire, he and his colleagues assisted local residents in evacuation, took care of the townspeople, delivering food and drinking water to them.
Police also provided first aid to people injured as a result of enemy shelling.
“Once again, the Russian military began shelling residential buildings with artillery. Without wasting a second, we ran to the screams of people begging for salvation. Together with colleagues, we began to get the victims out of the rubble. I had to use improvised means and fix the fractures with sticks, and bandages were applied to stop the bleeding. At this time, the shelling started again, so we quickly transferred people to the car and took them to the hospital,” Konstantin says.
We thank Konstantin Rastemyashin and his colleagues — the district police officers of the Kryvyi Rih RUP, police departments No. 1, No. 2 and No. 8, who restrained Russian aggression and stood in defense of our state!
“Our strength is in unity, together we will be able to overcome all difficulties,” the policeman concluded.
