Furry brothers on guard of the border
Ukrainian soldiers defend their homeland from the enemy around the clock. Almost in every border unit next to them there are four-legged helpers. Fur coats not only provide a kind of psychological support, stabilizing the moral state of border guards, but also conscientiously serve.
A guard dog serves in one of the border units in Sumy region. He was rescued by fighters from one house that was destroyed by the Russian invaders. Fed, cured, heated, left in the unit. The guard turned out to be not just a grateful animal, but immediately resorted to military affairs: to establish order, warn about the approach of the enemy and even the “shaheeds”. For which he received the name of Warta.
The owner did not choose a four-legged one. Treats everyone equally with respect and “controls” all processes in the unit. The fighters say that the Guard rests during the day, but even during sleep reacts to every sound. At night, he does not close his eyes at all, watches over everything around.
The border guards already know when the Guard starts barking, spinning, pulling the soldiers by the pants - wait for shelling or the approach of the “shaheeds”. So they react immediately.
The fighters say that on several occasions the dog saved the boys. As soon as they take note of the dog's instructions about the approaching enemy danger and occupy designated places, shells will arrive at the position. But the fighters by that time are already ready to fight back. And most are quite successful.
The guys respect the Guard, laughingly called the boss. And he is proud of this attitude and proudly raises his head. Fluffy has already been told that after the end of the war he will be taken home, to a warm home, together they will meet Victory and order a dog medal “For military training and assistance to border guards.”
