They sold driver's licenses: Donetsk police stopped another criminal scheme
The operatives of the Donetsk Department of Internal Security, together with the police of Donetsk region, established the involvement of a driving instructor from one of the driving schools of the Kramatorsk district in the corruption transaction.
A 40-year-old man claimed and received an improper benefit in exchange for assistance in obtaining a driver's license. He assured the student of the course that may affect the decisions of officials of the territorial service center during the passing of the driving exam.
Operatives exposed the defendant when receiving 8,000 hryvnias.
At the moment, the police investigators announced the man on suspicion of Part 2 of Art. 369-2 (Abuse of influence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for a sentence of two to five years in prison.
Currently, the likelihood of the involvement of service center employees in the crime is being checked. The investigation is ongoing.
Procedural management is carried out by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
