Appointed new head of police of Zaporizhzhya region
Today, August 17, the Head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko, in agreement with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky, appointed a new police chief of Zaporizhzhya region. He was Artem Kisko, who previously held the position of Deputy Chief of Police of Donetsk Oblast. He was introduced to the personnel of the new chief during the working visit of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine to Zaporizhia.
Denis Monastyrsky noted that the police team of the region headed by Artem Kisko should adequately fulfill all the tasks set. At the same time, he emphasized ensuring law and order in special conditions, in particular in the conditions of military de-occupation of a part of the region.
“Here, in Zaporizhzhia, the police are actually a brother of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So the Zaporizhzhya police officers remain at the forefront,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted.
The head of the National Police Igor Klymenko noted that Artem Kisko is an experienced operative who has devoted 16 years to fighting crime in Donetsk region. In the face of a terrorist threat, he organized the work of criminal investigation of the frontline area, took part in hostilities near Debaltsevo, where he was wounded while leaving the perimeter.
“The personnel are on duty near combat areas, so it ensures the evacuation of local residents. Particular attention should be paid to preventive work, documentation and investigation of war crimes, prevention of serious and especially serious crimes, as well as seizure of weapons and explosives from illegal circulation,” Ihor Klymenko emphasized.
Artem Kisko thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police for their trust and noted that the Zaporizhzhia police will provide the rear of the Armed Forces and will pay attention to filtering, countersabotage measures and the development of territories.
At the end of the meeting, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevhenii Yenin thanked the garrison of Zaporizhia police for their work and wished further fruitful work under the leadership of the new chief.
