The border guards of the Mukachevo detachment exposed the scheme of illegal departure of men abroad on forged disability documents.
Three “linden” pensioners were exposed within two days at the Luzhanka checkpoint. First, the forged document was discovered during border control by a 47-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region, who wanted to leave for Hungary on the night of Saturday. The man claimed to be a disabled person of the III group, as proof of this he provided a pension certificate. During the in-depth study of the document, the inconsistency of the background grid and luminescence with the established sample was found. Subsequently, the regional administration of the pension fund confirmed that this person was not issued a certificate.
The next day, two more men with similar forgeries in their pension certificates tried to cross the border. A 21-year-old Volyn resident and a 24-year-old Ivano-Frankivan also claimed to be disabled group III. They arrived at the Luzhanka checkpoint with a difference of one hour. With the help of special technical means, border guards easily established that the documents provided are a fake.
For further legal decision making, offenders were handed over to police officers. According to these facts, the border guards sent to the National Police a notice on the detection of signs of crimes provided for in Part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code “Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps” and Article 336 “Evasion from conscription for military service under time of mobilization, for a special period, for military service by conscription of persons from the number of reservists in a special period”.
Also last night, the soldiers of the “Onokovtsy” detachment of the Chopsky detachment with the help of a UAV recorded the movement of an unknown person towards the border.
A border patrol and a response team were immediately sent to the area specified by the drone operator in search of the probable offender.
