Border guards detained at the same time 10 evaders who planned to enter Romania on two cars
Even after the special operation “West-2023”, the border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment continue to intensively guard the border. During the past day, 12 men from Rivne region and one from Bukovina were detained at the site of the Falkiv border service department.
So, yesterday morning at the checkpoint, near the border with Romania, border guards stopped two BMW cars with 10 residents of the Rivne region. Under the guise of tourists, men of conscription age “with a breeze” headed to the state border and told the border guards fables that they were ordinary travelers.
For several hours in a row, two more “tourists” from Rivne region tried to bypass the checkpoint on foot. During the detention, the men could not explain either the purpose of staying in the controlled border area, nor the reasons for following the bypass of the main road.
Subsequently, the border outfit stopped the car of the Bukovinian, who also convinced that he was heading to the mountains for rest and beautiful Carpathian views.
The detained border guards drew up protocols on administrative offenses under Art. 204-1 KupAp. And two drivers who transported evaders face criminal liability under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
