Border guards detained almost eight dozen border violators: the situation over the weekend
Border guards of the Mukachevo detachment detained more than 50 people over the weekend who tried to cross the border illegally.
Ten times the violators tried to slip into Hungary. Border outfits of Luzhanka, Vilok and Kosino departments stopped 22 male persons in this direction. Another 19 attempts at violations were stopped on the Ukrainian-Romanian border. Soldiers of the border service departments “Dilove”, “Yablunivka” and “Tyachiv” detained 29 men. Detainees are residents of different regions of Ukraine.
Two dozen men this weekend intended to illegally cross the border into the Chernivtsi region. Most of them took advantage of vehicles that law enforcement stopped at additional checkpoints set up near the state border with Romania and Moldova. But there were those who tried to “slip” past the border outfits on foot.
Also, eight violators near the border with Slovakia were detained by the border guards of the Chop Detachment. Protocols on administrative offenses have been drawn up in relation to all arrested persons.
For an attempt to violate the state border in relation to men, protocols were drawn up on administrative offenses, provided for in Art. 204-1 KUPAP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”. Their actions will soon be assessed by the court.
