Border guards detained two violators who forced the Dniester on an inflatable mattress
The offenders were found during the implementation of operational information yesterday evening in the Dniester district of the Chernivtsi region. The men planned to illegally enter Moldova bypassing the checkpoints, crossing the Dniester River on an inflatable mattress.
Disguising themselves as tourists, residents of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya regions forced the water barrier at risk to their personal lives.
On the other bank, the “swimmers” were “met” by the border outfit of the “Kelmentsy” department of the Chernivtsi detachment.
During the detention, the violators, in order to avoid responsibility, tried to escape. It was possible to stop the fugitives after several warning shots up.
Protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up on both detainees, who were taken to the border unit.
