Border guards detained other evaders and migrants while crossing the state border
Over the past weekend, the border guards of the Chernivtsi detachment detained 14 offenders — 9 evaders who fled the country on their own, and 5 “guests” from Africa who were heading to Ukraine.
Last night, the border outfit of the Mamaliga department detained a group of border violators near the border with Moldova. Men without any documents tried to enter Ukraine illegally.
From the words of the detainees, it became known that three men are citizens of Eritrea, two are Ethiopian. All detainees were taken to the border department to be brought to administrative responsibility for illegal border crossing. In the future, illegal migrants will be transferred to Moldova in the order of readmission.
Also last weekend, soldiers of the departments “Kelmentsy”, “Porubne” and “Krasnoilsk” of the same detachment detained 9 Ukrainian citizens on 6 occasions on the border with Moldova and Romania. Men of conscription age could not explain the purpose of their stay at the border. Violators were residents of Rivne, Kiev, Poltava, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.
All detained persons were taken to the border units for prosecution under Art. 204-1 “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine” KUPAP.
