Border guards detained other evaders who tried to illegally cross state lines
The other day, the border guards of the Mukachevo detachment detained 27 men of conscription age.
Violators of the Ukrainian-Hungarian border tried to “storm” 7 times. Soldiers of the Luzhanka department stopped 11 Ukrainian citizens at this site, 7 more violators were detected and detained by border outfits from the “Kosino” department, and one Ukrainian was detained at the “Vilok” area of responsibility.
The Ukrainian-Romanian border was also breached 7 times. At this site, the border outfits of the Deilove and Tyachiv departments stopped 8 men.
15 of the detainees are residents of Transcarpathia, the rest came from Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Kherson, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
All offenders were taken to the border units. After establishing the circumstances of the offense, they will be held accountable under Art. 204-1 KUPAP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”.
Another evader was detained at the checkpoint “Hrushiv”. A 25-year-old native of the Cherkasy region was followed to a neighboring country by a bus passenger. As a basis for crossing the border during the legal regime of martial law, in addition to a passport, the man provided a certificate of military medical commission and a military ID. The documents stated that the Ukrainian is not fit for military service.
However, during the inspection of documents, border guards found a number of signs indicating their forgery. But the exposure of the man did not stop. In order to cross the border unhindered, he tried to bribe an inspector. To the offer of a bribe in the amount of USD 1500, the border outfit of the Lviv detachment responded with a refusal.
On this fact, VVVB employees of the State Border Guard Service informed the employees of the National Police. Responsibility for this offense is provided for in Art. 369 of the Criminal Code “Offer, promise or provision of unlawful benefits to an official”.
In addition, the man will have to be responsible for using a fake when crossing the border.
To law enforcement agencies, border guards sent notifications about the detection of signs of a criminal offense under Art. 358 of the Criminal Code “Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps”.
Border guards handed over the bribe-evader to the National Police.
In total, during the past day, 29 people were detained for attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine — 3 of them tried to cross the border illegally at checkpoints, another 26 were detained outside the designated crossing points.
In addition, 5 men, citizens of Ukraine, were not allowed to leave the country, since border guards found signs of forgery of their documents, which give the right to cross the border to persons of conscription age.
In the actions of men there are signs of offenses provided for by articles 336 and 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
