Border guards rescued a sailor on the Danube River
The border guards of the Izmail detachment on the night of June 15 saved a Ukrainian citizen from drowning on the Danube River, near the city of Kiliya.
The senior mechanic of the tug accidentally fell overboard into the water and began to wear it downstream. A man's cry for help was heard by the border outfit.
The border guards immediately went out by boat to search and began to monitor the water surface using a thermal imager. After about half an hour, already outside the settlement, the state border guards managed to find and pull the man to the shore, where he was given primary medical care before the arrival of the ambulance.
At the moment, the life and health of the man are in no danger and he has already returned to his ship today.
