Border guards of the Volyn detachment received new SUVs
20 new Mitsubishi L200 pickups will patrol the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Volyn.
Today, in the management of the squad, drivers were solemnly handed the keys to 10 cars. The same number of SUVs will arrive from the capital tomorrow.
The Border Agency continues to develop international cooperation. It was under the project of international technical assistance that the border guards received these SUVs from the US Government. The cost of one car is about 1.5 million hryvnias.
The use of new equipment in the departments will increase the efficiency of service activities during the implementation of tasks for the protection of state borders. The vehicle can move in the most difficult road conditions, easily overcomes mud, snow or sand traps.
It should be noted that in addition to high-traffic vehicles under this project, border guards will also receive portable thermal imagers, ballistic helmets, body armor and other necessary equipment and equipment.
