Border guards exposed a scheme for illegal export of agricultural products in large volumes
Operational officers of the Lviv Border Detachment exposed an enterprise that was engaged in grain export by understating the income tax and non-payment of payments to the State Budget.
The amount of damage caused reaches almost 3.8 million hryvnias. Law enforcers established that last year the company exported agricultural products (wheat, corn) to Poland in large volumes without documents confirming the purchase of grain. In order to hide illegal activities and create conditions for the export of products, the director of the enterprise concluded fictitious supply contracts.
In addition, the company did not reflect its income in full in the reporting. Thus, the director understated the income tax due and avoided paying taxes by almost UAH 3.8 million.
According to the results of the authorized searches, documents indicating involvement in the commission of the offense were discovered and seized. The director of the company was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Measures to stop illegal activities were carried out by the operational officers of the Lviv Border Detachment together with the BEB detectives in the Volyn region under the procedural leadership of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The pre-trial investigation is completed, the case is referred to the court.
