Border guards exposed another scam of pseudo-philanthropists
Employees of the Lviv Border Guard prevented an attempt to illegally import goods under the guise of humanitarian aid.
So, to enter Ukraine, through the checkpoint “Krakivets”, was followed by a DAF truck driven by a 49-year-old resident of Lviv region.
According to documents provided for inspection, the truck was moving used clothing, shoes and hygiene products for one of the charities. However, during the inspection of the cargo, the border guards together with the customs officers discovered the goods, information about which is missing in the documents.
In general, the heavy truck driver tried to illegally transport new clothes and shoes with a total weight of more than 700 kg.
On this fact, customs officers drew up a protocol. Currently, the product whose value is established is withdrawn in the established order.
