Border guards discovered a truck with tree bark from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which was intended for Kiev landscape designers
In Zhytomyr region, a man tried to remove almost 3 tons of tree bark from the exclusion zone.
Yesterday, November 21, while implementing operational information, border guards in Zhytomyr region, within the zone of unconditional resettlement, stopped the truck.
During the inspection and external inspection of the car, it was found that the vehicle contained about 3000 kg of tree bark, which was transported without proper documents and appropriate dosimetric control.
The driver of the vehicle explained that he was taking a dangerous decorative element of landscape design to the capital for the purpose of sales.
According to this fact, to make a legal decision, the border guards called the National Police officers and sent a message about the detection of signs of a criminal offense provided for in Art. 267-1 of the Criminal Code “Violation of the requirements of the radiation safety regime”.
