Border guards found valuable coins and old prints at the border
During the registration of the car “Audi” at the ferry checkpoint “Orlivka”, on the border with Romania, border guards discovered two ancient gold coins of the 19th century.
The discovered coins “5 rubles 1897g” and “5 rubles 1899g”, which numismatists also call “Big Head”, were in the purse of the driver's wife. Appropriate procedural documents have been drawn up regarding the discovered coins.
And at the checkpoint “Vinogradovka”, on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, border guards together with customs officers discovered two ancient books written in Church Slavonic language.
One of them reads “The Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures. Old and New Testaments”, there is no first page in the other book, but it also contains church texts. The dates of printing, the name of the publisher and the rest of the mandatory elements on the books are missing.
The books were in the luggage compartment among the personal belongings of the passenger of the passenger car “Mersedes”, which she followed from Ukraine to Moldova.
Whether the items have cultural or historical value, the examination will find out.
