Border guards found a counterfeit of 9 million hryvnias
According to the results of a series of searches in Kyiv and Chernihiv region, law enforcement officers seized almost 38 thousand liters of counterfeit alcohol.
The estimated value of seized counterfeit products and property is more than 9 million UAH.
Law enforcement officers established a group of persons who organized the illegal manufacture of vodka products. The attackers spilled counterfeit products under the guise of various brands, using counterfeit excise stamps and sold in large batches to trusted customers throughout Ukraine.
The detection of the network of counterfeit alcohol products was carried out by border guards of the operational and search department of OKPP “Kyiv” together with the staff of TU BEB in the Kiev region, with the strong support of the special unit “DOZOR”.
Specialists of criminal analysis of OKPP “Kyiv” were also involved in the establishment of storage places for vodka products.
Currently, a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is ongoing on the grounds of a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Art. 199, Part 1 and Part 3 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
