Border guards of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania cooperate in information exchange and risk analysis
Three-day meeting of experts of analytical units of border departments of Ukraine and Republic of Lithuania ended in Vilnius
During the meeting, the parties prepared an analytical report on the Joint Ukrainian-Lithuanian assessment of cross-border crime at the state borders of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania, exchanged experience in the field of analysis and risk profiling. The work of automated systems of collection, information processing and visualization of analytical studies were considered.
Separately, they discussed the challenges and threats to the border security of their countries, including the migration crisis artificially created by the Belarusian authorities at the borders of the European Union member states.
The parties agreed on further steps of cooperation and exchange of statistical information, which is currently essential to effectively counter threats.
This meeting was another step in strengthening border security and developing cooperation between border guards of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania.
