Border guards together with cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and National Guards stopped 5 attempts to violate the border
As part of Operation West-2023, border guards and cadets managed to stop violators who tried to cross the border illegally.
In addition to border guards, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, National Police, National Guard, as well as representatives of state authorities and local self-government were involved in the joint special operation.
Recently, in order to increase the effectiveness of measures and ensure public security and law order in the border zone, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine decided to involve in the operation also personnel of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
After conducting a preparatory stage with the cadets, during which they were shown the situation in the border and the specifics of the work of the border units, the future police officers entered the service as part of the border uniforms.
Over the past day, the border guards of the Mukacheve detachment, together with the National Guards and cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, stopped 5 attempts to violate the border, as a result of which 6 conscripts were planning to enter Romania illegally.
Violators “searched” for the easiest, as it seemed to them, places where it would be possible to cross the border outside the checkpoints. However, in the areas of responsibility of “Dilove”, “Tyachiv” and “Yablunivka”, the joint outfits of law enforcement officers exposed them and detained them. To get to the neighboring country, three men came from Kyiv region, the rest - from Vinnytsia region, Zaporizhia and Chernihiv region.
In order to clarify all the circumstances and draw up protocols on the commission of the offense, the detainees were taken to the border units.
Currently, the operatives of the Mukachevo detachment establish a circle of persons involved in the organization of illegal transportation of persons across the state border.
