Border guards together with the Bureau of Economic Security discovered in the city of Kiliya excisable goods worth more than half a million hryvnias
As a result of the implementation of operational information, the border guards of the Izmail detachment together with representatives of the Bureau of Economic Security discovered in the households of the city of Kiliya counterfeit tobacco products and alcohol, which were supposed to be sold in the south of Odessa region.
Searches were conducted at the behest of the detective BEB under the sanction of the court. As a result of the investigative actions, 7160 packs of cigarettes in the assortment, without excise tax stamps, 440 liters of alcohol, 120 liters of sparkling wine, 14 liters of brandy, 1600 hryvnia were found. The total amount of the assessment amounted to 610,000 UAH. The above goods were withdrawn by employees of TU BEB for further examination.
For the two defendants in the case, it is expected to submit information to the ERDR under Part 1 of Art. 199 Criminal Code “Manufacture, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment, import into Ukraine for use in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit money, state securities existing in paper form, state lottery tickets, excise tax stamps or holographic protective elements” and Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code “Illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation for the purpose of marketing excisable goods.
