Border guards underwent intensive training in the basics of medical care under the program of sanitary instructors (VIDEO)
An important aspect of this training is the mastery of the MARCH algorithm, a priority system for the provision of first aid, which helps to save lives in the conditions of shelling and combat operations.
In addition, the training process included evacuating the wounded from the CUF (Combat Unit of Fire) area to a safe shelter sector. This required coordination of actions, teamwork to evacuate troops as quickly and safely as possible.
At the final stage of preparation, a control and verification session took place. With the help of pyrotechnic means and the imitation of complex wounds, the conditions were as close as possible to combat.
Also, a surprise awaited the border guards in the form of a wounded serviceman of the Russian Federation. After all, one of the aspects of knowledge verification is compliance with the Geneva Convention when dealing with a prisoner of war.
During the development of the scenario, the sanatorium instructors identified fighters with shrapnel wounds, amputation of the limb, pneumothorax and abdominal trauma. Under the explosions of training grenades and the sounds of gunfire, they stopped critical bleeding, cleared airways, adhered to intensive care principles, and evacuated the wounded from the battlefield.
This class provided an opportunity for servicemen to test the knowledge gained, test their skills in realistic conditions and make sure what they are ready for in extreme situations.
