Border guards continue to detect evaders: the situation on the border in a day
During the day, August 23, 100 thousand people and 20 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region). Last day 51 thousand people left Ukraine, 30 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland. Over the past day, 49 thousand people followed Ukraine, 43 thousand of them are citizens of Ukraine. 98 trucks with humanitarian aid were issued.
Law enforcement officers eliminated channels for the transportation of evaders across the border, which they organized in Odesa region and Transcarpathia. Dealers offered to take conscripted men out of the country for $4,000.
In Transcarpathia, border guards together with employees of the National Police detained two businessmen who “specialized” in transporting men abroad.
At the place of residence of one of the detainees, law enforcement officers found 7 persons of conscription age who were waiting for a “transfer” to Romania, which was to be made by the Tisa River. For the opportunity to illegally reach a neighboring country, grief-travelers had to pay their “patrons” 4 thousand dollars.
For the same amount in the Odessa region, two businessmen also offered to cross the border with Moldova. The channel of illegal transportation of persons was exposed by the operatives of the Odessa Border Patrol together with the employees of the National Police.
The criminal scheme was organized by two local dealers. They offered the military to illegally cross the border into Moldova. The cost of such a service was $4000 per person. The operatives detained the organizer of the traffic on
the hot spot, when one of the “clients” just handed him a part of the funds in the amount of 1500 dollars. Another accomplice - the “carrier” - was detained by law enforcement officers during the delivery of one of the evaders to the border.
Currently, law enforcement officers find out all the circumstances of the commission of a criminal offense, Dilkam faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 7 to 9 years. Investigative actions continue.
