Border guards received awards “Defender of Luhansk region”
Such a mark of honor is awarded to the soldiers from grateful residents of the Luhansk region. The head of the regional military administration Sergey Gaydai came to thank the defenders for the defense of the region.
It was the Luhansk border detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevgeny Pikus a year ago that first started fighting with the Russian occupation troops during the large-scale invasion of the aggressor country. The soldiers of this state border guard are facing the enemy in the hottest parts of the front even now.
Also, the achievements of the soldiers of the border detachment are noted by the leadership of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the regional administration. Thus, Deputy Head of the Eastern Regional Department of the State DPSU — Head of the OVU Brigadier General Yuriy Petrov presented departmental awards to the best fighters.
Finally, the head of the Luhansk border detachment, Colonel Andriy Kulesh, thanked the head of the region for his constant support and presented Sergei Gaidai with a commemorative award.
