Border guards at the border with Romania detained three men of conscription age along with the carrier
All four were found during the implementation of information provided by officers of the Operations and Investigation Department.
“Opel Movano”, whose driver was transporting two residents of Lviv region and one Transcarpathian, was stopped by border guards on the outskirts of Velykyi Bychkiv village. All four were visibly nervous and unable to give a clear answer about the purpose of being in the controlled border area.
During further filtering activities, the squad's operatives found out that the driver, for a cash reward of $1,400 from each of his “clients”, had to deliver them to the border, directly to the point of illegal border crossing.
Currently, officers of the operational and search department of the Mukachevo border detachment are identifying all persons involved in the organization of illegal border crossing. Regarding the detection of signs of a crime under Art. 332 “Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine,” border guards told the National Police.
