Border guards liquidated the channel for the sale of trophy weapons
Operatives of the Odessa detachment together with the employees of the SBU, the National Police and under the procedural leadership of the Nikolaev regional prosecutor's office exposed and stopped the channel of illegal sale of firearms and ammunition.
A criminal business was organized by a resident of the Nikolaev area, who took weapons from the areas of fighting, which were left by the occupiers. Subsequently, the defendant sold trophies on the “black market”. The attacker sought “clients” through acquaintances, in particular among representatives of the criminal law.
As part of the criminal proceedings, law enforcement officers conducted an operational purchase of firearms and ammunition, during which the attacker was detained. He tried to sell “buyers” a grenade launcher, a flamethrower and 20 F-1 grenades for $1,800, which law enforcement later seized.
The offender is notified of the suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 1 of Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A pre-trial investigation is being conducted.
