The President presented certificates for apartments to Heroes of Ukraine of NGU and their families

Within the framework of the initiative of the Head of State to provide housing for servicemen — Heroes of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky presented another 30 certificates for receiving apartments to soldiers from the Defense Forces, who were awarded the title Hero of Ukraine, and to the families of the fallen Heroes.

Addressing those present at the meeting at the Mariinsky Palace, the Head of State noted that today's event is a continuation of the tradition of special respect for Ukrainian Heroes.

“The Order of the Golden Star is a testament to the unchanging gratitude and respect for every Ukrainian whose bravery is extraordinary and whose actions on the battlefield deserve constant national attention. Ukraine will always remember all its heroes. He will always tell every future generation of Ukrainians and Ukrainians about what heroes were and will be in our country. And there was and will be respect,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.

As the President noted, today we express gratitude to the soldiers who showed themselves in saving Ukraine and our people and helped preserve Ukrainian statehood after 2014 and after February 24, 2022. In particular, these are the defenders of Donetsk airport, the defenders of Mariupol and “Azovstal”, participants in the battles for independence in the Nikolaev area, Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv region.

“I thank every Hero and all the families of our Heroes for the fact that Ukraine is being defended by such brave people. I thank all those who will cherish the memory of our heroes! Glory to the Ukrainian soldiers! And may there always be bright memories of Ukrainians and Ukrainians who gave their lives in the fighting for Ukraine, the future generation and our independence!” the Head of State stressed.

Volodymyr Zelensky presented 30 certificates for apartments: 15 to the Heroes of Ukraine and 15 to the families of the fallen soldiers, who were awarded this title posthumously.

The President personally handed certificates for housing to 13 Heroes of Ukraine from the Armed Forces, a soldier of the National Guard and an employee of the SBU. Thus, the certificates were given to Colonel of the Medical Service Eduard Khoroshun, Lieutenant Colonel Yevhen Bovi, Colonel Ivan Golishevsky, Major Sergei Ponomarenko, Major Kirill Veres, Colonel Alexander Zugravy, Captain Alexander Lyashenko, Colonel Alexander Lyashenko, Colonel To Roman Mamavka, Colonel Vadym Sucharevsky, Major Serhiy Volynskyi, Major Oleg Khomenko, Colonel Oleg Honcharuk, Colonel Valery Paditel and Junior Sergeant Bogdan Magalasa.

Certificates were also handed over to the families of 12 servicemen of the Armed Forces, two soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and one national guard.

According to the initiative of Volodymyr Zelensky, the state will provide apartments to all Ukrainian soldiers of the ranks and officers who have been awarded the title Hero of Ukraine, and to family members of those who are awarded this title posthumously.
