President celebrates National Guardsmen and Border Guards on Volunteer Day
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the servicemen of the State Border Service and the National Guard. The ceremony is dedicated to the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer.
“We thank everyone and everyone who stood in defense of the Ukrainian state, who stood in defense of Ukrainian society. We thank those who chose Ukraine when everything depended on it. Who did not stay aside and was not afraid to fight. I am proud of every Ukrainian soldier, every one of our commanders, who are fighting for the state. I thank everyone who works for our common, Ukrainian victory. And I ask you to always remember Ukrainian heroes of different times who gave the most dearly - gave their lives for Ukraine to live,” the Head of State stressed.
The president stressed that his national state is never just a gift. And our own national culture is not just a legacy. These are always vivid and bold manifestations of the personal will of specific people. The will of those who dedicate themselves to ensuring that the common - Ukrainian - is preserved.
Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the Commandant of the Border Command Rapid Response Command 105 of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Igor Kushner with the Order of Danylo Halytsky.
Orders “For Courage” of the 3rd degree were awarded: machine-gunner of the first branch of the border service inspectors of the first border post of the First Border Guard Department (type C) (on the BBA) of the Border Rapid Response Commandery of the 9th Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Slobodynyuk and the driver of the first branch of the border service inspectors (machine-gunner) of the first border post of the first border service department (type C) (on the BBA) of the Border Command Rapid Response 9 Border Detachment of the State Border Service Ukraine Oleg Nesterenko.
In addition, the title Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Order of the Golden Star (posthumously) was awarded to Vadym Zhukov - the chief sergeant of the 1st operational company (on armored personnel carriers) of the 1st operational battalion of the military unit 3036 of the Central Operational Territorial Union of the National Guard of Ukraine and the Youth Lieutenant, commander of the machine gun platoon of the 4th operational battalion of military unit 3027 of the Northern Operational and Territorial Union of the National Guard of Ukraine Pavel Trukhanu.
