The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked the emergency services for their professional work during the elimination of the consequences of flooding
On June 16, an outbound meeting of the Government was held in Kherson region under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal. The meeting discussed the next steps to eliminate the consequences of flooding.
The Prime Minister also noted the work of all services that are currently working at the scene of the disaster.
“I want to thank those who help the Kherson region - the State Emergency Service, police, volunteers, philanthropists. And also to international partners - we appreciate and thank you for your solidarity and support,” said Denis Shmyhal.
Denis Shmyhal noted that at present, rescuers have evacuated 2.7 thousand people, including more than 300 children. In total, more than 3,700 people were rescued from the flood zone. Today, 39 more settlements remain in the disaster zone.
