Representatives of Ukraine took part in CIECA Congress in Austria
In Vienna, from May 23 to 26, the 55th General Assembly and Congress of the International Driver Testing Commission (CIECA) are held. The organizer of this year is the Austrian Road Safety Council.
The event brings together representatives of competent authorities in the field of driver testing from 38 countries. The Ukrainian delegation took part in it for the first time as a full member of the association.
At the annual assembly, the leadership of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs spoke about the activities of service centers, taking into account the circumstances arising from the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
Also, the Ukrainian delegation familiarized the representatives of other countries with the modified fixation of the process of passing theoretical and practical exams in the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, gave statistics on such examinations and the issuance of driver's licenses in Ukraine, told about the digitalization of services.
In addition, photos of destroyed service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the work of mobile service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in front-line areas were demonstrated.
“Utilizing the benefits of CIECA membership is now particularly relevant for us, given the intensification of European integration reforms related to Ukraine's acquisition of candidate status in the European Union. We are deeply convinced that it is the combination of efforts to achieve common goals and constructive interaction of competent authorities in the field of driver testing within the framework of CIECA that is the key to achieving effective results,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted in the GSC.
In addition, the Ukrainian delegation got acquainted with the best practices and practices of other CIECA members in improving the skills of novice drivers and testing these skills during exams. The knowledge gained will make it possible to more productively implement the standards of the European Union in Ukraine and improve the processes of passing theoretical and practical exams. Thanks to its membership in CIECA, Ukraine has more opportunities to conclude bilateral agreements on mutual recognition and exchange of national driver's licenses without the need to pass exams.
Recall that this year the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs gained membership in the International Commission for Testing Drivers CIECA.
