The EU Delegation will continue to support the SMS in the management of migration processes
Today, June 24, Deputy Head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine Ivan Dvoilenko met with the Head of the Operations Unit “Good Governance and Rule of Law” of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, Mr. Xavier Camus.
The parties discussed the current cooperation with the EU and the future support of the SMS in the management of migration processes and the prospects for the development of this area.
Mr. Kamyu congratulated Ukraine on obtaining EU candidate status and stressed that Ukraine's future lies in the European family.
Ivan Dvoilenko outlined the main efforts made by the DMS to preserve especially sensitive data in the conditions of martial law, shared the achievements of the service in the development of digital services provided by the Migration Service, as well as further development plans in peacetime.
The participants of the meeting agreed that post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, stimulation of return of Ukrainian citizens from abroad and European integration are among the main directions of further cooperation.
The parties agreed to consistently support each other and stressed their readiness to increase previously established strategic levels of cooperation.
